About "Us" |
| In the interests of full disclosure let me begin by acknowledging that, my use of the "royal we" notwithstanding, Nexus PhotoGraphics is really little more than a one person operation, owned and operated by yours truly, John Morris. My two children and a few friends promote Nexus and scan and send me clients' photos, but I do all of the restoration work myself. It is a modest enterprise, more a labor of love than of profit.
Although we opened our doors in the spring of 2002, the Nexus story really begins about ten years earlier, when I became the self-appointed custodian of my family's wonderful collection of old photographs, some over 100 years old, that had for so many years been in the possession of my grandparents. When I began my custodianship, I had three goals in mind: to preserve the photos for future generations; to share them with all of my relatives; and to stimulate my family's interest in its roots. To make a long story short, the calendars, photo CDs, and photo family trees that I developed to achieve these goals were received with such enthusiasm that I ultimately decided to offer my services to others. The Nexus mission statement is simple: to provide elegant, superior quality products and services to individuals interested in preserving and sharing their family's history and photographic legacy. If you are engaged in these activities, you are serving as a bridge between the generations and performing a service for your family the importance of which cannot be overestimated. May you find at Nexus PhotoGraphics a trusted and effective ally, worthy of the important work that you are doing.
